Buyer Procurement (Direct/Indirect)

About The Role
Reporting to the Vice-Presdent of Procurement - USA, the
Procurement Buyer
recommends and develops strategic purchasing initiatives in the assigned area. Responsibilities include forecasting internal customer needs, sourcing solutions, providing cost-benefit analysis, and leading the RFP processes, including results driven, contract negotiations. Serves as a liaison between vendors and internal customers, creating transparent, productive working relationships across the organization.
What You Will Do
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting the agreement, reviewing, negotiating terms and prices, and approving and executing the final signed contract
Manage the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including sourcing new vendors, data and market analysis, strategy development, pricing negotiations and contract review
Develop long-term partnerships with world-class suppliers
Perform cost benefit analysis and determine opportunities for savings
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop scope of work and bid documents for RFPs
Continuously develop and optimize supplier relationships to gather information to source the best quality materials at the optimum price at proper lead-times to meet business requirements
Generate reports and identify areas for cost containment/reductions to assigned functional areas
Conduct day-to-day purchasing for multiple departments
Maintain confidential company information and filing system for purchases and correspondence

What You Bring
Minimum
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in procurement and buying experience, Supply Chain, or Finance related roles
For Direct purchasing focus such as CapEx focus or Raw Materials focus to include at least two (2) years of experience of specifically in direct purchasing of raw materials, equipment, CapEx, components, or machinery, that are incorporated into manufacturing HARIBO product
For Indirect purchasing focus the minimum of two (2) years total of procurement and buying experience remains, whether Indirect (services, non-manufacturing related goods, fleet, etc.) or any combination of the above
Prior use of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or other ERP systems
Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Power Point, and Excel
Preferred
For Direct purchasing focus such as CapEx focus or Raw Materials focus to include at least three (3) experience strongly preferred specifically in direct purchasing of raw materials, equipment, CapEx, components, or machinery, that are incorporated into manufacturing HARIBO product
For Indirect purchasing focus, two (2) years total of procurement and buying experience remains, whether Indirect (services, non-manufacturing related goods, fleet, etc) or any combination of the above
SAP experience strongly preferred, preferably the S4 Hanna Purchasing module
Experience creating RFPs and sourcing new vendors
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
Ability to travel locally from Rosemont office to Pleasant Prairie factory, or vice-versa, occasionally.
Ability to travel domestically and globally, if needed

Demonstrated understanding of procurement trends and legal terms as they relate to purchasing contracts and framework agreements
Strong time management skills and prioritization
Strong communication - both verbal and written
