We partner directly with hyperscale, enterprise, and OEM customers to define packaging strategy, not just supply packaging products.Our engineering organization operates across North America, Asia, and EMEA, combining advanced simulation and ISTA-certified testing to deliver system-level packaging platforms for enterprise server racks, AI compute infrastructure, and mission-critical data center hardware.Why This Role MattersThe acceleration of AI infrastructure and hyperscale data center deployment is fundamentally changing how high-value hardware is designed, transported, deployed, and reused.This role elevates packaging from project execution to platform-level ownership, where packaging decisions directly influence deployment speed, global reuse economics, sustainability outcomes, and compatibility with automated data center operations.Position SummaryThe Senior / Principal Design Engineer Enterprise Server Rack & AI Infrastructure Packaging is a senior technical leadership role responsible for owning the architecture and evolution of packaging systems used to deploy some of the worlds most valuable compute infrastructure.This role is ideal for an engineer from a leading packaging provider who is ready to lead platform-level strategy, drive innovation and reuse programs, and influence customers and suppliers through technical leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn platform-level structural packaging architecture for enterprise server racks and AI infrastructure.Drive innovation and next-generation packaging system development.Architect reusable packaging and reverse-logistics ecosystems.Own end-to-end execution of complex global packaging programs.Lead structural engineering, simulation, testing, and validation.Serve as technical interface to hyperscale customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Mentor engineers and influence global engineering standards.Technical Skills & ToolsAdvanced CAD: SOLIDWORKS (or equivalent), ArtiosCAD, CreoStructural dynamics, vibration, and cushioning theoryISTA testing and packaging performance standardsMaterials: foam, elastomers, wood, corrugated, composites, metalsReusable and returnable packaging systemsBonus: Simulation utilizing ANSYS and SOLIDWORKS SimulationCompensation & BenefitsActual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, relevant experience, role level (Senior vs. Principal), geographic location, and internal equity.This position is also eligible for performance-based bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation may be adjusted for exceptional candidates who bring highly relevant experience in enterprise server rack packaging, AI infrastructure, or large-scale reusable and circular packaging systems.Education & ExperienceBachelors Degree in Mechanical, Packaging, Structural, or Industrial Engineering610+ years of packaging or structural engineering experienceExperience supporting high-value or high-mass products (servers, server rack packaging, electronics, industrial equipment)TravelUp to 30% domestic and international travel.Physical RequirementsOccasional lifting up to 14 kg.
