Occupational Therapist - School Based
A recognized education network in New York City is seeking dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our growing team and provide services to students throughout all five boroughs of New York City for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year. Mentorship and support are available for clinicians looking to begin their careers in a school-based setting.Responsibilities:Provide occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, assessments, and direct treatment services to school-aged students in accordance with IEP mandates and educational goalsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care skills, classroom participation, and overall functional independenceCollaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student achievement and educational successMaintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, progress reports, quarterly updates, annual reviews, and other required compliance recordsParticipate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences as needed.Provide consultation and training to educational staff regarding adaptive strategies, classroom accommodations, sensory supports, and motor development techniquesPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsBachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programCurrent New York State Occupational Therapist License, or eligibility for licensure with pending NYS OT licenseStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational environmentDesired Skills:Previous experience with the Pediatric populationExperience in a School-based and/or Early intervention role/settingClinical backgroundWhat We Offer:Flexible full-time and part-time schedulesSchool-year schedule with work-life balanceCompetitive compensationOpportunities available throughout all five NYC boroughsClinical mentorship and ongoing professional supportAccess to a diverse pediatric caseload and multidisciplinary team environmentOpportunity to positively impact the lives of students and families every day
