As Senior Manager, Preanalytical Processing, you'll lead the teams responsible for histopathology and sample management, making sure every specimen that comes through our doors is handled with precision, speed, and care. You'll bring together two previously separate functions into one well-oiled operation, building the structure, systems, and people strategy to help us scale. If you like solving operational puzzles while leading real teams, this one's for you.Key Outcomes:Lead histopathology (embedding, microtomy, staining) and sample accessioning/intake operations to meet turnaround time targetsManage and develop histopathology and sample management teams, from supervisors to frontline staffBuild workforce plans, training programs, and a scalable leadership structure to support growthMaintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations, and keep the lab inspection-ready at all timesDrive process improvement using Lean principles, including automation and LIMS enhancementsPartner cross-functionally with Molecular Testing, Client/Patient Services, and Lab IT to smooth handoffs and resolve issuesTrack and report KPIs (TAT, throughput, staffing ratios) to guide decisions and keep leadership informedDo you have what it takes?This role rewards people who can lead through complexity without losing sight of the details.
