Production Planner

Role SummaryThe Production Scheduler will support the planning, development, and maintenance of production schedules for industrial and commercial programs. This role ensures accurate sequencing, lead times, and coordination across teams to enable on-time delivery of projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules for bids and newly awarded contractsContract Review: Evaluate contract changes during bid and post-award phases to assess schedule impactsCross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with PMO, Estimating, Contracts, Supervisors, and Craft teams to develop executable schedulesProblem Solving: Support resolution of scheduling challenges with increasing complexityExecution & Accountability: Ensure schedules are accurate, updated, and aligned with project goals and company standardsWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based roleOccasional travel to customer sites or internal locationsHigh collaboration with cross-functional teamsPerformance ExpectationsWork is reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and professional judgmentResponsible for timely and error-free delivery of assigned scheduling tasksRequired QualificationsEducation: Associate’s degree in a related field OR 2+ years of relevant experienceExperience: 2+ years of experience in ship maintenance industryTechnical Skills:Proficiency in scheduling toolsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, SharePoint)Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and optimize production flowCommunication: Strong verbal and written skillsWork Style: Ability to work independently and within a team environmentIndustry Knowledge: Basic understanding of industry practices, terminology, and standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in production planning or industrial scheduling environmentsFamiliarity with complex project scheduling and coordination
