This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, at times with limited supervision.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesComply with all site safety requirements and programs.Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.Troubleshoot and repair analog and discrete instrument loops.Use standard instrument calibration tools (RTD, mA, and T/C calibrators; laptops for communication).Follow step-by-step instrument calibration procedures.Enter and retrieve data using computerized systems, including CMMS (Maximo).Troubleshoot and repair:480 VAC 3-phase motor starter circuits4–20 mA control loops120 VAC control circuitsDiagnose PLC issues using PLC logic knowledge.Work with and troubleshoot:Smart pressure transmittersMagnetic and differential pressure flow metersTemperature transmittersABB DCS systems or similar DCS hardwareControl valves and smart valve controllersSolenoids, pressure switches, flow limit switches, etc.Work overtime (scheduled or emergency), including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Shift schedules may be adjusted by management to support site operations.Desired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Completion of a 2-year instrumentation and/or electrical trade program preferred.CT Electrical License preferred.At least 2 years of E&I experience preferred.Familiarity with PLCs and PLC logic required.Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, sitting, handling tools, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbsVision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.Resumes to:Dianna AdamsDianna.adams@trscraftservices.com832.206.8434
