About the Role The Pre-Licensed Therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary care team—including nutrition, medical, psychiatry, and mentorship—to deliver evidence-based modalities including FBT, CBT-AR, and CBT-E. You will provide evidence-based treatment with quality documentation through ongoing assessment of patient and family needs. The role requires obtaining and maintaining an active pre-licensure status in California and other required states per business need, and pursuing additional state licensures as needed with financial support from Equip. Working Hours Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-8pm in the patient's timezone. Provide 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care, including groups, new patients, and follow-ups Commit to a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 pm in the patient population's time zone each week Be available until 8 pm two evenings per week Attend mandatory meetings (group supervision, treatment huddles, labs/all hands, individual supervision, etc.) Responsibilities Obtain and maintain pre-licensure status in required states; willing to obtain licensure in other states as requested (licensure costs covered by Equip) Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbidities in a virtual setting Implement FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, and other evidence-based treatments for patients across the lifespan and their loved ones Maintain a patient caseload to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions Participate in ongoing training, supervision, department meetings, and other administrative tasks Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team and outside providers Use between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team through the EMR in line with policies Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must Haves Master's or doctoral degree in a mental health field and be associate license-eligible or in the process of obtaining associate license in California (e.g., marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling, psychology) Willingness to support a caseload of patients of all ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds and cultures, with supervision Commitment to evidence-based care and treatment Enthusiastic, strong team player Ability to deliver care virtually Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access to treatment Compensation & Benefits Package Compensation: Earning Potential Range: $70,500 to $75,000 Annually Base Pay + 15% Performance-Based Bonus Potential Time Off: Flex PTO policy (3-5 weeks/year recommended) + 11 paid holidays Generous parental leave benefits Core Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D insurance; Equip pays for a significant percentage of premiums Spring Health, a 100% employer-paid mental health benefit through Guardian (5 free therapy sessions and 5 free coaching sessions per year for you and dependents) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) HealthJoy, a healthcare concierge 401K option Other Benefits Student Loan Repayment:$500/quarter for1 year Continuing Education: Training in FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR; supervisory support valued over $3,000 Unlimited online courses through NetCE for therapists and medical providers Up to $1,000/year CE stipend Team onsites and conferences across the US Licensing & Supervision: Equip covers costs for initial licensure and renewals for required licenses Supervisor provided to facilitate clinical hours; integrated into work schedule Work From Home Perks: $50/month home internet stipend Initial work-from-home stipend up to $500 Reload of $200 on stipend at year 3 and every two years thereafter (year 5, year 7, etc.) Company laptop Physical Demands Work is 100% from home with no travel requirements.
