Electrical Engineer II Salary: $100K-$130K yearly, Location: South Point, OH. Employment: Direct Hire. Work hours: Mon‑Fri 7:00am to 4:30pm. Benefits Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays, etc. Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical drawings, and schematics at a high level. Create electrical design drawings using AutoCAD Electric. With some guidance from senior electrical engineers, work from project specifications and reference documents to update and/or create new electrical power and control design documents. Perform most electrical calculations for current and new designs with limited assistance. Update instrumentation and electrical and control portions of a P&ID drawing with little guidance. Able to program PLCs and HMIs and set up most PID loop designs with limited assistance from a senior electrical engineer. Knowledgeable of MS Office and similar business related software and perform basic functions. Competent in the use of Epicor and can add and manage BOMs, perform required research to needed information, and assist with the management of project schedules. Assist in leading a team of fellow engineers, designers, and drafters with resolving design challenges. Perform intermediate electrical troubleshooting and problem solving with some oversight. Interface with engineering staff, manufacturing staff, and operations staff productively to gain needed information for proper electrical design work. Participate in engineering design meetings to learn and grow experience of design methods and processes. Work closely with fellow engineers, designers, and drafters to improve quality and efficiency. Guide entry level electrical designers and CAD drafters in the performance of their work. Contribute to electrical design reviews for new and existing product designs. Qualifications Has advanced knowledge of the National Electric Code, IEEE standards, MSHA, and other applicable standards, and uses this knowledge to teach and grow members of the electrical team.
