Process Mechanical Estimator
Job Title: Process Mechanical Estimator (Remote)No C2C Inquiries! ASAP is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Mechanical Estimator to support large-scale industrial and manufacturing capital projects. This is a remote opportunity for qualified professionals located in Indianapolis, IN, Portland, OR, or Phoenix, AZ.The ideal candidate will have experience developing mechanical construction estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, evaluating contractor bids, and supporting project teams throughout the estimating process. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Location Requirements:Candidates must currently reside in one of the following locations:Indianapolis, IN (preferred)Portland, ORPhoenix, AZKey Responsibilities:Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from design and construction documents.Develop and maintain mechanical cost estimates for industrial and process-related projects.Conduct bid evaluations and reconcile contractor proposals against project scope and budget requirements.Develop independent \"should-cost\" estimates to validate pricing and support project decision-making.Source and evaluate current market pricing from contractors, suppliers, vendors, and industry databases.Prepare estimate comparisons and cost reconciliations while identifying and explaining variances.Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.Maintain organized project documentation and estimating records.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating processes and cost data management.Participate in occasional site visits and project meetings as required.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, process, or capital construction projects.Strong experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing detailed cost estimates.Demonstrated experience with bid evaluations and contractor proposal analysis.Proficiency with RSMeans and other estimating databases and tools.Knowledge of industry cost standards, including MCAA and/or SMACNA.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.Preferred Experience:Pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, industrial, or EPC project experience.Experience supporting large-scale capital projects.Familiarity with mechanical systems, process piping, and industrial construction environments.This is a remote position; however, periodic travel may be required, including occasional trips to project locations and quarterly meetings.
