Technical Training EngineerSan Diego, CA | Hybrid (3 days in office) | Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe're looking for a Technical Training Engineer to help our customers get proficient on H2Xquickly and keep them winning over time. You'll run training sessions, answer technicalquestions, build training materials, and be the friendly technical face customers interact with asthey learn the platform.H2X is a cloud-based engineering design platform used by mechanical and plumbing engineersto design building services. Our customers are design consultants, commercial contractors, andUFH/RFH specialists. The product is technical and the buyer is nuanced, so you need to comefrom an engineering background yourself. We need someone who can talk shop with amechanical engineer, explain a complex workflow clearly, and leave the customer moreconfident than they were an hour ago.This is a customer-facing, hands-on role. If you love the delivery side more than the design side,and you enjoy helping other engineers get great at something new, you'll enjoy this.Key Responsibilities• Lead training sessions for new and existing customers, including group sessions, 1:1walkthroughs, and deep-dive workshops.• Answer technical questions from customers during and after training, pulling in supportwhere needed.• Build and maintain training materials (videos, guides, quick reference sheets) that scaleyour impact.• Work with Customer Success to shape the onboarding journey so customers reachproficiency faster.• Feed recurring questions, confusion points, and product gaps back to Product andEngineering.• Stay close to real design work so your training stays grounded in how engineers actuallyuse the tool.Qualifications & ExperienceEssential• Background in mechanical engineering.• Experience using design software like AutoCAD.• Enjoys speaking to people, building relationships, and answering technical questions.• Patient and engaging. Can explain complex topics clearly to people with differentexperience levels.• Fun and friendly. Customers should finish a session feeling better, not worse.Preferred• Experience in building services (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulics, UFH/RFH).• Prior experience using H2X.• Experience in a customer-facing role (training, support, applications engineering).• Comfortable working across multiple time zones.What We Offer• Hybrid working: 3 days per week in our San Diego office, 2 days remote.• A friendly, hands-on team who care about the craft.• Real ownership over how we train customers.• Early-stage company with influence over how things are built.• A team that takes customers seriously but doesn't take itself too seriously.Notes• This is a customer-facing role.
