The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of safety management systems, security programs, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in leading initiatives that protect passengers, employees, and assets, and in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local requirements. The Vice President will also be instrumental in sustaining operational integrity, mitigating risk, and supporting the long-term strategic objectives of the organization.Key responsibilities for the Vice President include leading airport-wide safety, security, compliance, training, and emergency management programs, as well as overseeing the development and implementation of regulatory programs. The role involves managing emergency preparedness, response coordination, and incident management activities, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 12 years of experience in airport operations, safety, or security leadership, and extensive knowledge of safety and security regulatory frameworks. Professional accreditation and certification in airport security coordination are preferred.
