Be part of something bigger with Chromalloy!Our Total Rewards Program is designed to support you today and in the future.\nComprehensive and flexible benefit options starting on day one, including medical, dental, vision, EAP, wellness incentives, and 401(k) with employer matching.\nDevelopment & progression opportunities for every employee - regular performance conversations, training and development curriculum, and engineering fellowship programs.\nPaid time off, including vacation, sick time, paid holidays, and parental leave-all eligible on your first day of employment!\nCompetitive pay, including eligibility for quarterly and annual bonuses, depending on role and site.\n\nEligibility for individual benefit plans may vary based on employment status.Responsible for performing welding operations in accordance with manufacturing specifications.Welder Duties:\nPerform welding activities, following written instructions independently.\nInterpret drawings and applicable technical data to use in repairs.\nPrepare parts for welding by grinding, machining, and belt sanding.\nDocumenting travelers after operations performed.\nMaintain production standards/quality.\nRegular attendance and punctuality.\nEnsures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.\nUse calibrated instruments and tooling to perform critical measurements.\nOperate tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas and other types of welding machines as required.\nOperate oxy-acetylene torch to cut, braze, weld, and solder.\nOperate spot welder.\nMaintain certification required to weld applicable alloy.\nComply with all applicable regulatory, customer, and safety requirements.\nMust be able to pass an Eye Examination specifically for welders.\nEmbrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities\nMaintain department safety and housekeeping standards\nEnsure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS)\nRegular and reliable attendance\nAdhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards\n\nQualifications\nAbility to perform qualification welds on 0.040" thick materials in accordance with AWS D17.1 for both fillet and groove welds\nAbility to read, write, and understand English\nAbility to accurately interpret blueprints\nAbility to accurately interpret work in-process documents\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nSelf-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nMust have performed welding in a manufacturing industry\n\nAbility to perform frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:\nDetermine repair requirements based on Traveler and drawing operations.\nWeld parts that are certified by X-ray (RT) and make necessary adjustments to correct any deficiency.\nInstall fabricated details onto assemblies & sub-assemblies and inspect for proper fit prior to welding.\nPerform necessary layout work to accomplish job.\nMake necessary adjustments to welding equipment to ensure satisfactory weld(s).\nProduce components within industry requirements and standards.\nPerform other duties as company workload dictates.\n\nINDDLDue to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.Chromalloy participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.Any offer of employment will also be conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state regulations.Chromalloy is an equal opportunity employer - vets/disabled.In the United States, if you need a reasonable accommodation for the online application process due to a disability, please contact: https://www.chromalloy.com/contact-us/
