OverviewAsh & Ember Mental Health Services is a growing private practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to our community. We are seeking a motivated, clinically sound, and independent Licensed Therapist to join our practice as a 1099 contractor. This role is ideal for a clinician who values clinical autonomy, schedule flexibility, and a supportive professional environment without the overhead of running a solo practice.Scope of ServicesAs an independent contractor, you will have full control over your clinical approach and professional schedule. Key responsibilities include:Clinical Care: Provide intake assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing psychotherapy to a caseload of your choosing.Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and state licensing board standards. Note: Sessions will not be submitted by biller until notes are signed and locked.Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on your clinical expertise.Practice Alignment: Ensure all services meet the professional and ethical standards of your respective licensing board.Requirements & QualificationsLicensure: Active and In-Good-Standing status, unrestricted license to practice in Maryland (e.g., LCSW-C, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist).Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.Professional Liability: Must maintain an active individual malpractice insurance policy.NPI & CAQH: Must have an active NPI number and be willing to maintain an updated CAQH profile for credentialing purposes.Ethics: A commitment to the highest ethical standards of care and client confidentiality.What We Provide (The "Perks")Steady Referral Stream: We handle the marketing and initial referral coordination to help you build your desired caseload quickly.Administrative Support: Full access to our EHR system, billing services, and insurance credentialing (if applicable).Secure Access: Access to a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.Autonomy: You set your own hours and decide which clients are the best fit for your clinical niche.Collaboration: While you operate independently, you’ll have access to a community of peers for optional consultation and networking.Compensation & LogisticsFee-for-Service: Competitive percentage-based split, set your own out of pocket fee, choice of insurances to credential withFlexibility: No minimum caseload requirements, you choose your hours and scheduleSelf-Employment: As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes, benefits, liability insurance, and continuing education.
