6am-4pm1.0 Summary1.1 The Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring and verifying food safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and SQF Food Safety Code. This role performs inspection, testing, documentation review, and process verification to ensure product safety, legality, and quality throughout production operations2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES2.1 Perform quality and food safety checks and document results accurately2.2 Inspect and conduct testing and records results as required which may include but not limited to:2.2.1 Visual Seam & Fill Weight2.2.2 Raw Product Evaluation2.2.3 Chlorine Monitoring2.2.4 Cooked Product Evaluations2.2.5 Thermometer Calibration2.2.6 Code Verification2.3 Monitor compliance with SQF, HACCP, allergen control & GMPs2.4 Identify and report food safety or quality issues2.5 Place product on hold when required and notify quality management2.6 Conduct GMP inspections2.7 Other duties may be assigned as needed to better serve the Quality Department3.0 Supervisory Responsibilities3.1 None4.0 Language Skills4.1 Excellent verbal skills4.2 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.4.3 Ability to communicate with others orally.5.0 Mathematical Skills5.1 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.6.0 Computer Skills6.1 Ability to utilize computer/Ipad for documentation purposes.7.0 REASONING ABILITY7.1 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.7.2 Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks with frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility and composure.7.3 Organized with strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information
