This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys supporting schools, and values being part of a close-knit rural community.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces.Empty trash and recycling containers.Replenish restroom and custodial supplies.Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities.Monitor the building for maintenance or safety concerns and report issues promptly.Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned.Ensure building security by locking doors and securing facilities at the end of shifts.Operate custodial equipment safely and effectively.Follow district safety procedures and cleaning protocols.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous custodial, maintenance, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and reliability.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.Must successfully complete required background checks.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesBasic understanding of cleaning methods and equipment.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Strong work ethic and dependability.Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and community members.Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean educational environment.Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and climbing.Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and equipment.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Working ConditionsIndoor and outdoor work environments.Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking.Occasional evening or weekend work for special events.Application And Selection ProcedureCandidates: Apply online at https://www.applitrack.com/re1valley/onlineapp/Completed and submitted online application.A current cover letter or letter of interest detailing information about the candidate and their interest in the positionA current, professional resume.Three current professional letters of reference.
