JOB SUMMARY:We are seeking a Red Had Linux System Administrator who would be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Cameo systems in an AWS EC2 environment, maintaining the integrity and accessibility of all server resources, hardware, systems, and key processes.SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Configuration and operational support of RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environmentInstall Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment, troubleshoot hardware/software installation and basic networking issuesSetting up and managing Linux and Windows systems, applications and environments and ensuring those systems comply with government security standardsTroubleshooting network hardware and software applications, OS upgrades, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore servicesMaintains a “customer focus” attitude to ensure customer satisfactionProviding clear, concise, and timely communication with customers, supervisors, and project managersWork within a team environment and attend meetings with other team members, customers, etc.There are no travel requirements for this position.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Advanced Level hands on Experience with Red Hat and Linux, RHEL (7/8/9), Provisioning, Maintaining/Patching, Hardening - REQUIREDVMware admin experience (including vCenter)Experience using Linux based automation tools (Chef, Ansible)Experience with AWS – specifically EC2 and S3 services - REQUIREDDeploying Servers on AWS, AMI experience - REQUIRED Docker, Virtualization, Kubernetes, Containerization experience - REQUIREDExperience with use cases, performance specification development and UML modeling preferredSELinuxInfrastructure Components (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection, WSUS, RHEL Satellite, VMWare Update Mgr, SolarWinds)VMware Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization 6 (VCP6-DCV) CertificationRHCSA or RHCSE Certification a plusExperience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, NetApp, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issuesExperience with Network engineering technologies and as a network administratorAbility to troubleshoot complex configuration problems or system issuesKnowledge of scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)General working experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA) and creating ACLsExperience with Cameo, Guacamole desiredWorking experience troubleshooting cloud platforms – multi-tenant a plusFamiliar with scanning software ie. TaniumFamiliar with STIGs and complianceManage virtual machines and virtual infrastructureExperience with monitoring and optimizing performance of virtualized environmentsExperience in systems-of-systems definition, development, and integrationAbility to analyze high level needsTECHNICIAL SKILL & CERTIFICATIONS:RHCSA preferred, not requiredIAT Level II Security Certification (e.g., Security + CE, CISSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCN) preferred, not requiredAWS Certification or Experience preferred, not requiredEDUCATION: Bachelors with 3+ years of experience managing virtual/physical servers and LAN/SAN networked environments preferred
