Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP travel position in Alexandria, LA, working day shifts Monday through Friday with every third or fourth weekend on-call requirement.Job Details• Hospital-based Cardiology Cath Lab setting in Alexandria, LA,• Patient population includes cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, TAVR, and device placements,• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (2 nurses and 2 techs per patient),• Day shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday,• Every third or fourth weekend required,• On-call required, scheduled in collaboration with other staff,• No floating required,• 13-week contract with potential temp-to-perm opportunity,Job Requirements• Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand,• BLS certification from AHA required,• ACLS certification from AHA required,• Prior Cath Lab or cardiac nursing experience preferred,• BSN preferred,• Two professional references required for consideration,• Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration,Additional Information• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation,• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness,• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided,• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families,• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers,• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with onboarding validated through organizational and department-specific competency assessments,• All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days,
