Summer Intern

Job Purpose Learn the pre-finish process for our siding products. Gain exposure to one or more of the following areas of operation: Operations Quality Environmental, Health & Safety Maintenance & Reliability Human Resources Develop or assist in the development of plant projects. Assist in the creation of site SOPs, JSAs and Training Program Assist with daily tracking of Quality, Safety and Operations metrics and report creation. Assist in recording testing and inspection results, inputting them into appropriate database or spreadsheets. Identify and respond to statistical trends or non-conforming process measures and test values. Assist in monitoring and recording consumption and inventory of raw materials. Assist in process and product tests/trials as assigned and compile, analyze, and report trial test results as required. Be pro-active in identifying and performing other tasks to maintain and improve safety, quality, and environmental performance. Participate in mentoring opportunities from plant management staff. Perform other duties as assigned.In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To Approximately 12-week program (flexible start and end dates based on your school schedule) Wage of $24/hour ($960 per week) Leadership and cross-functional learning opportunitiesWhat do I need to be successful? The employee must have the ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, work in inclement weather, and work with elevated noise levels. The position requires the ability to frequently lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
