U.S. Training Strategy & Programs Manager

Safran University (SU) is dedicated to the professional development of our talent, shaping our future with continuous learning and organizational growth.Position OverviewThe Manager of Safran University – U.S. & Canada serves as a strategic partner and advisor to subsidiaries across the U.S. & Canada, directing and executing SU's training and development platform. This dynamic leader will champion process improvement, cultural integration, and KPI-driven outcomes to support organizational transformation, talent onboarding, career development, compliance, and regulatory training needs of the Group.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Needs Assessment & Management Proactively collect and analyze training needs from various sites across the U.S. & Canada, collaborating with local HR, managers, and domain experts.Translate site-specific requirements into effective development initiatives and learning solutions.Continually review, evaluate, and adapt training offerings to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Vendor Evaluation & Selection Identify, evaluate, and select external vendors and partners to deliver training solutions that meet identified site needs.Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure delivery meets Safran's quality, cost, and compliance standards.Monitor vendor performance and maintain an ongoing assessment process to ensure effective partnerships.Training Management & Delivery Design, adapt, and implement Safran University training processes and tools to support the local business landscape in the U.S. & Canada, ensuring coordination with global best practices.Work closely with "Domain Managers" to curate and localize the SU training offer, ensuring alignment with the U.S. & Canada context and Group standards.Lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of training initiatives, from needs analysis to annual reporting and program evaluation.Coordinate with local HR & Training networks to manage participant lists, organize training sessions, and handle logistics efficiently.Strategic Operations & Process Improvement Define key success factors and reporting metrics; ensure robust mechanisms for KPI monitoring and continuous improvement.Balance quality, cost, and delivery timelines for each training program and session.Implement and oversee service-level agreements (SLAs) with internal customers.Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate and communicate effectively with U.S. & Canada HR, CEOs, Domain Managers, and corporate leadership to build awareness and engagement for SU programs.Develop and launch communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.Coordinate and energize a U.S. & Canada training network; encourage sharing of information, synergies, and resources across subsidiaries.Technology & Systems Lead the regional promotion and usage of the Learning Management System (LMS) as part of Safran's Global HRIS initiative.Ensure technology supports key business objectives and enhances learning effectiveness.Financial Management Define, manage, and monitor the SU U.S. & Canada budget, establishing a framework for dedicated P&L tracking.Identify and secure grants, funding, and other opportunities for training investment in the U.S. & Canada.Team Leadership Hire, motivate, empower, and retain a results-oriented team, fostering innovation and a culture of excellence.Inspire team members with a shared vision and commitment to Safran values.Workforce Planning & Talent Development Partner with HR leadership to understand workforce planning priorities and translate them into targeted training needs.Identify and coordinate training solutions to address identified skill gaps, aligned with business and workforce requirements.Collaborate with external technical schools and training providers to supplement internal capabilities and support critical skill development.Required Skills & ExperienceMaster's degree in Human Resources, Business, Training & Development, or related field preferred; BA/BS required.5-10 years of relevant experience in large, multi-national companies, ideally in high-tech industries with strong cultures of excellence.Deep understanding of both U.S. & Canada and European cultural and business contexts.Demonstrated experience in collecting training needs and managing training vendor selection and relationships.Expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs, including technical and compliance learning initiatives.Robust project management and process improvement skills; proven ability to deliver programs from concept through evaluation.Experience working with learning technologies, technical platforms, and vendor management.Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; adept at influencing and partnering at all levels.Bilingual or multilingual abilities highly valued: English fluency required; French and/or Spanish preferred.Collaborative, decisive, and action-oriented leadership style; strong analytical and data-driven decision-maker.Experience building and leading high-performing teams in matrixed, culturally diverse environments.Safran is an equal-opportunity employer.
