Project Manager
HGA is hiring a Project Manager to support client operations in Inman, South Carolina. The Project Manager / Construction Manager will oversee a portfolio of capital and infrastructure projects within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for end-to-end project execution, including planning, coordination, field oversight, and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This is an immediate need with an expected duration of 6–12 months, with potential for extension. Project and Site DetailsAll work is performed on-site at an operating chemical manufacturing facilityPortfolio includes a mix of infrastructure, maintenance, and capital projects totaling approximately $5–6MProjects include installation and replacement of pumps, tanks, and related process equipmentScope also includes general facility upgrades and small to mid-sized capital improvement projectsProject sizes typically range from $50K to $3MProjects follow a Front-End Loading (FEL) process, scaled based on project complexityWork is executed in a Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated environment with strict safety and compliance requirementsKey ResponsibilitiesManage multiple projects concurrently through all phases from initiation to closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plansCoordinate cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, operations, maintenance, and contractorsEnsure compliance with PSM requirements, including Management of Change (MOC) processesOversee contractor selection, onboarding, and performance in the fieldMonitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standardsIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project objectivesProvide regular status updates and reporting to leadership and stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement in project execution and site processesWork ExpectationsPrimarily on-site role with a standard 40-hour work weekSome flexibility for partial remote work depending on project phase and workloadPreference for candidates located within commuting distanceRequired QualificationsExperience managing capital projects within a PSM-regulated chemical manufacturing environmentProven ability to deliver projects in the $50K–$3M rangeStrong knowledge of construction management and field execution practicesHands-on experience with Management of Change (MOC) processesDemonstrated ability to manage contractors and on-site construction activitiesStrong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in industrial settingsExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications10 or more years of relevant project management experience in chemical or industrial environmentsBackground in process engineering or designPMP certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licenseBachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplineEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled #IND1
