Come work for the City of Phoenix and become a part of this dynamic team.ResponsibilitiesThe Human Services Department is hiring an Human Resources Aide (Payroll Specialist) to perform paraprofessional, technical, and specialized administrative work in human resources. Responsibilities in the role include and are not limited to:Processing bi-weekly payroll and human resources leave transactions. Preparing paperwork for new hire onboarding, transfers, promotions, demotions, leave of absence, retirements, and other separations. Managing employee leave and conducting leave analysis. Monitoring and processing Performance/Salary Review due dates to ensure salary increases are processed timely and in accordance with Memorandums of Understanding/Memorandums of Agreement (MOU/MOA) requirements. Submitting Industrial Leave Pay Authorizations (ILPA) for employees on industrial leave. Performing routine audits. Overseeing the DPS Fingerprint process for new hires and renewals for current employees.SALARYPay Range: $22.61 to $36.84 per hour.Hiring Range: $22.61 to $33.41 per hour.Pay Range ExplanationPay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease.Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may also be a change to your classification or unit.
