Journeyman Electrician
Fulltime Journeyman Electrician Pay $24-$28 an hourJob OverviewIn the journeyman electrician role, you will perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components. You will replace and repair electrical equipment and devices as required. You must maintain a deep understanding of building code regulations to check and ensure compliance with the highest standards of building design and construction. Success in this role will be demonstrated by employing effective process controls to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical systems.Job Responsibilities and DutiesInterprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systemsDiagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiringRuns tests on generators and other backup systemsLeads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standardsChecks for and deploy upgrades of electrical componentsDocuments problems and prepares reportsFacilitates order of needed electrical componentsJob RequirementsRelevant hands-on experience preferredCompleted a 4-year apprenticeship programElectrician license or certificationIn-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, wiring schematicsDeep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standardsStrong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
