As an active exploration and production company in the northeastern U.S. for more than 100 years, Seneca Resources Company, LLC is committed to safety, environmental stewardship, increased productivity and maximizing shareholder value.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Software Developer will serve as an integral member of the IT team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:Design, build, and support new and existing custom software solutions and applicationsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues across custom software solutions, integrations, and supporting cloud servicesCollaborate with end users and the IT development team to define application requirements, technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and implementation prioritiesDevelop, maintain, and deploy software using distributed source control systems and modern DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHubWork with enterprise data stored in relational databases, document repositories, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SharePoint OnlineConduct code reviews, follow secure coding practices, and help enforce development standards for code quality, maintainability, performance, and reliabilitySupport fusion development initiatives by collaborating with business users and IT teams to design, govern, and support solutions built with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power AutomateFollow secure development, data governance, and responsible AI practices when designing, building, integrating, and supporting software solutionsComply with Seneca's EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programsJob QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, plus at least five (5) years of professional software development experience, including experience developing cloud-based solutionsExperience building cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep or Terraform, and applying cloud design principles for scalability, security, reliability, and cost awarenessStrong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirementsExperience integrating applications with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, or related enterprise collaboration and automation servicesDesigning, developing, or supporting AI-enabled applications, copilots, agents, or automation solutions using Microsoft cloud services and responsible AI practicesExperience working with modern software delivery practices, including Git-based source control, pull requests, code reviews, automated builds, automated testing, release management, and CI/CD pipelinesStrong programming experience in C# and .NET is requiredExperience designing application architectures, APIs, integrations, and reusable components that support scalability, maintainability, observability, reliability, and secure data exchangeProficiency in scripting and development languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languagesExperience with Azure application services and security capabilities, including Azure Functions, containerized workloads, OAuth 2.0, managed identities, role-based access control, and secure application-to-service authentication patternsSolid understanding of relational databases, SQL query development, data modeling concepts, and application data access patternsExperience developing applications with Angular is preferredThe successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.Seneca Resources offers a competitive salary, hybrid work schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.
