Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Position Type: Locum TenensSpecialty: Physician - GastroenterologyLocation: UtahRate: Open & NegotiableShift: 24-hour call coverageStart Date: June 3, 2025End Date: Ongoing Position Details: Patient Population: Inpatient & Outpatient Setting: Call Coverage, Inpatient, Outpatient Responsibilities: 24-hour call coverage at two sites 7 shifts total per month across all locums Performing procedures including EGD, Colonoscopies, PEG Tube Placements, Double Balloon Enteroscopy Required Procedures: EGD (Upper Endoscopy) Colonoscopy PEG Tube Placement Double Balloon Enteroscopy / Push Enteroscopy EMR System: EPIC Support Staff: MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech Days Per Month: 7 shifts total between locums On-Call/Weekends: Yes Schedule Availability: June: 3 (7a) - 6 (7a) OR 9 (7a) - 12 (7a) July: 11 (7a) - 13 (7a) OR 20 (7a) - 22 (7a) September: 1 (7a) - 6 (7a) OR 8 (7a) - 13 (7a) October: Any 7-day stretch Ongoing dates: Begin January 2026 Submission Requirements: Board Certified in Gastroenterology Required Active Utah license Highly Preferred Active BLS Required for credentialing Gastroenterology Fellowship Required Active DEA Required for credentialing (transferred DEA must be kept for the duration of assignment) Must detail which dates they can cover through October 2025 Required Must provide the number of shifts per month they can offer starting January 2026 Required Must acknowledge concurrent call coverage at two sites Required Must confirm understanding of EMR training requirements Required Clean Malpractice Highly Preferred (Candidates with a self-inquiry NPDB report at name clear will be prioritized) Clean Background Required Credentialing Information: Timeframe: 60 days standard Emergency Temp Privileges: Available for clean filesEMR Training Requirements: Must complete EPIC modules & EUPA test before virtual training Virtual training must be scheduled at least one week before start date Travel Preferences: Lodging Air Travel Travel Exceptions Join us today!
