Job Summary: The Commercial Front-End Driver is responsible for safely operating a front-end load truck to provide prompt and courteous waste collection services to commercial customers. This role requires strong customer service skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions. Key Responsibilities: Operate a front-end truck on assigned routes to service commercial waste containers. Ensure proper waste collection and disposal while adhering to company safety standards and traffic laws. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues. Monitor the condition of containers and report damaged or unsafe equipment. Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers. Maintain accurate service and delivery records using on-board systems or manual documentation. Assist with container deliveries, removals, and replacements as needed. Maintain a clean vehicle and work area at all times. Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B or higher. Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience; front-end loader experience preferred. Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT drug screen and physical. Strong knowledge of safe driving practices, DOT regulations, and equipment inspection procedures. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a variety of weather conditions. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in waste management, recycling, or a related field. Familiarity with route navigation systems and GPS technology. Mechanical aptitude for identifying minor truck issues. Working Conditions: Exposure to outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, snow).
