Senior Cognos TM1 Developer

Title: Senior Cognos TM1 DeveloperLocation: New York, NY (4 Days Onsite per Week)Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Cognos TM1 Developer to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM Planning Analytics / Cognos TM1 development, architecture, and support, with a strong background in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable and high-performing TM1 solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics applications.Build and optimize TM1 cubes, dimensions, rules, Turbo Integrator (TI) processes, and chore schedules.Develop Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) dashboards, reports, and web sheets.Work closely with finance and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Perform data integration with multiple source systems including ERP and data warehouse platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve TM1 performance, security, and data issues.Implement best practices for TM1 model design, performance tuning, and system optimization.Support budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, and reporting processes.Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and environment management activities.Create technical documentation and provide production support when required.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment.Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum 14 years of IT experience with significant hands-on experience in IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics.Strong expertise in:TM1 ArchitectureCube Design & DevelopmentTurbo Integrator (TI)TM1 RulesPlanning Analytics Workspace (PAW)Security Setup & AdministrationPerformance TuningExperience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions.Strong SQL and data integration experience.Experience integrating TM1 with ERP/Data Warehouse systems.Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and senior leadership.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Banking or Financial Services domain preferred.Exposure to Cognos BI/Tableau/Power BI is a plus.Experience with cloud-based Planning Analytics environments is desirable.IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics certifications preferred.
