EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by a growing, family-owned home building and construction company in the Twin Cities metro area to identify their next Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior controller or experienced accounting professional ready to take the next step in their career. You will be embedded in a dynamic, project-driven business and gain hands-on exposure to construction accounting, real estate development, and multi-entity financial management.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the books across multiple LLCs, including residential construction, land development, and commercial real estate entitiesPerform job costing for active home builds and construction projectsEnter and track invoices; maintain accurate records across all entitiesTrack sales activity and monitor progress across active developments and lot inventoryReview profit and loss statements for the company's shopping centerManage monthly rental income and reconcile rent collectionsAdminister Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, including costs for snow plowing, lawn care, and shared property expensesCompile and organize financial data across entities to produce clear, consolidated reportingSupport the owner and leadership team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field requiredBackground as a Controller, Junior Controller, or senior accounting professional ready to grow into a Controller roleSolid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reportingExperience in construction, real estate, or multi-entity environments is a strong plusAbility to manage and organize financial data across multiple LLCsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skillsCPA preferred but not requiredComfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environmentAs a recruitment and workforce management service, we are committed to promoting equal employment opportunity in all recruitment processes.
