QC Inspector I 20.00 - $23.00 hr. | Monday- Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 PMCompetitive pay $20.00 – 23.00 an hourMonday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pmTemporary to HireLocated in Winter ParkWeekly PayMedical, Dental, Vision and other benefits availableJob Description:We are partnering with a leading specialty vehicle manufacturer seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support final inspection and release of completed units. This role ensures that both internal stakeholders and end customers receive vehicles that meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards prior to shipment.The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, prior manufacturing inspection experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.ResponsiblitiesPerform final inspections on completed specialty vehicles prior to shipmentConduct road testing and functional testing to verify operational performancePerform water testing, identify leaks, and verify corrective actionsVerify customer options and specifications against build documentationComplete final cosmetic inspections and sign-off documentationDocument defects and discrepancies through computer-based tracking systemsGenerate and maintain inspection reportsIdentify and report design or assembly deficiencies and recommend improvementsUpdate production tracking systems to reflect inspection statusNotify leadership of scheduling delays, maintenance issues, or production concernsFollow departmental work instructions and quality standardsTrain new inspectors as needed and provide support in the absence of lead personnelEnsure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materialsFollow spill response procedures and safety contingency plansMaintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standardsPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions in EnglishAbility to interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and schematicsAbility to read English and Metric measuring tools and use precision measuring devicesStrong mechanical aptitude and understanding of drivetrain and power unit operationBasic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systemsTroubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesPrevious assembly or manufacturing experience requiredExperience using hand tools and inspection gaugesValid Driver's License (required for road testing vehicles)Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsEffective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settingsKnowledge of OSHA and EPA regulationsHazardous materials handling training (or ability to obtain certification)Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.Minimum of two (2) years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience in vehicle, heavy equipment, or specialty equipment manufacturing preferredPaint or finishing inspection experience preferredCustomer service experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 10-hour shifts with scheduled breaks)Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. without assistanceAbility to work in kneeling, bending, squatting, or overhead positionsAbility to work from ladders or elevated platformsAbility to safely operate hand, air, and power toolsStrong hand-eye coordinationAbility to work in loud, industrial environments with exposure to dust, vibration, and mechanical movementVision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustmentWork EnvironmentRegular exposure to moving mechanical partsFrequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrationOccasional exposure to chemicalsLoud industrial settingYour New Organization:Make an impact by delivering industry-leading specialty vehicles that serve communities worldwide, from fire and emergency vehicles to commercial infrastructure trucks, street sweepers, and consumer leisure motorhomes and travel trailers. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
