Sr. Solutions Architect

Overview In this role you will drive customer success by aligning the Data Intelligence Platform with client goals, working cross-functionally with sales and technical teams. You’ll coach junior engineers, lead high-stakes engagements, and craft compelling technical guidance for complex analytics architectures. You will contribute to the community through workshops and collateral, and you can grow across tracks in technical specialization, thought leadership, strategic vision, or people leadership. This is a customer-centric, collaborative role at scale within a fast-moving data and AI platform company. ResponsibilitiesDevelop customer engagement strategies with Account Executives in your territoryCoach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical championsInfluence stakeholders across the cloud ecosystem and third-party apps to align on Databricks vision and solution strategyBe a trusted advisor for significant data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence PlatformContribute to technical community engagement by creating customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-upsOpportunities to develop in tracks: technical specialization, industry vertical thought leadership, strategic customer vision, and people management Key requirements10+ years of customer-facing technical experienceExperience engaging in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacityAbility to influence decision-makers and executives by building relationships and orchestrating teamsProficiency in coding in Python, Java, or Scala and willingness to learn a baseline SparkHands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platformsAbility to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscapeWillingness to travel up to 30%strong communicationinfluencing and relationship-buildingleadership and mentorshipPythonJavaScala
