WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing a wide range of emergent and life-threatening conditions. Job Function: Shift: 3x12 Rotating shifts: Days / Evenings / Nights 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 36 hours per week Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform EKGs Assist with procedures including splinting and point-of-care testing Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC ASAP Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to other units as needed Job Requirements: Active RN license required Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required) NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred Experience with EPIC ASAP EMR preferred Strong ED skill set including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and patient assessment Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
