Senior Data Architect
Overview
In this role you drive the data backbone for FAA BNATCS CTO and Peraton Labs, enabling advanced analytics, visualization, and AI-enabled workflows. You lead data strategy and governance across cross-functional streams to support the Digital Command Center. You shape data acquisition, fusion, and pipeline readiness to ensure scalable mission decision support. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on data engineering across multi-domain environments, delivering impactful data foundations at scale. You will work closely with stakeholders to align data efforts with mission objectives and modernization goals.

Key requirements10+ years with BS/BA, 8+ with MS/MA, or 5+ with Ph.D. in data engineering, software engineering, aerospace, systems engineering, or related fieldsExperience with data identification, data acquisition, ETL, and multi-source data integrationExperience with advanced data analysis and data fusionFamiliarity with modern data capture, transformation, and preparation for advanced analyticsAbility to work across multiple teams and stakeholders to align data efforts with mission objectivesUS Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain FAA Public Trust suitabilityMust be local and able to commute to Annapolis Junction, MD; Bowie, MD; or Herndon, VAcross-functional collaborationstakeholder alignmenteffective communicationETLdata fusionmodern data capture and preparation
