Saving children.®Job DescriptionThe Product Owner III – BI plays a critical strategic role within the Enterprise Data & Insights (ED&I) organization, focused on maximizing the value and impact of data visualization capabilities across ALSAC. This role brings deep focus to the consumers of data, ensuring that Tableau and related BI tools are fully leveraged to drive actionable insights, improve decision-making, and elevate the user experience.As a Product Owner III - BI you will be instrumental in:Unlocking the full potential and ROI of Tableau investmentsDriving adoption through effective change enablement strategiesExpanding AI-driven capabilities within the BI ecosystemDelivering impactful, user-centered data products that empower ALSAC fundraisersThe Product Owner III - BI is responsible for defining and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of BI capabilities and applications. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, technical acumen, and stakeholder engagement to deliver innovative, scalable, and high-value solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Product VisionDefine and drive the strategic vision and direction for BI products, aligned with ALSAC’s fundraising and data strategy objectivesDevelop and maintain a 3-year product roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and emerging technologies (including AI/ML capabilities within Tableau)Identify opportunities to maximize Tableau ROI through increased adoption, advanced functionality, and improved user experiencesLeverage market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices to evolve BI capabilitiesProduct Management & DeliveryOwn and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibilityTranslate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and functional requirementsCoordinate and oversee product releases, ensuring quality, timeliness, and stakeholder alignmentEnsure compliance with data quality, governance, and information security standardsPartner with Architecture, Platform Leadership, and InfoSec to ensure scalable and secure solutionsUser Experience & AdoptionChampion a user-centered design approach, creating intuitive and impactful Tableau dashboards and analytics experiencesBuild journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate product directionLead and participate in usability testing, incorporating feedback into continuous product improvementDrive change management and adoption strategies, increasing effective use of Tableau across the organizationEnable stakeholders through training, documentation, and communication of business valueStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationBuild strong, trust-based relationships with business stakeholders, fundraisers, and leadershipAct as a translator between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignmentCommunicate product value, roadmap progress, and feature enhancements clearly and consistentlyFacilitate discussions and resolve conflicts related to scope, priorities, and design decisionsOperational ExcellenceManage day-to-day product operations, including:Product health and performance metrics (KPIs, usage, adoption)Product and project status reportingVendor and contractor engagementConduct industry and competitive analysis to inform product evolutionEnsure adherence to Agile/Scrum best practices and modern product management methodologiesLeadership & MentorshipLead and mentor other Product Owners and cross-functional team membersInfluence without authority across teams, fostering alignment and collaborationProvide thought leadership in BI, Tableau, and data product managementQualificationsRequired Experience & Skills6+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or related IT rolesBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong experience with Tableau or similar BI/data visualization platformsSolid background in data, analytics, or business intelligenceProven ability to define product strategy, roadmap planning, and delivery executionExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software delivery practicesKnowledge of change management and adoption strategiesStrong business and technical acumen with an enterprise mindsetThis position is based at ALSAC’s National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.Benefits & PerksThe following Benefits & Perks apply to Full-Time Roles Only.We’re dedicated to ensuring children and their families have every opportunity to enjoy life’s special moments.
