Expect a mix of hands-on development, cloud engineering, and continuous delivery work.Typical activities include:Designing and building Java Spring Boot microservices deployed on AWSDeveloping RESTful APIs capable of handling complex data selection and filteringLeveraging Python to automate and optimize cloud services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, and S3Implementing CI/CD pipelines using Maven, GitLab, and GitOps practicesSupporting containerized deployments and cloud-native architecturesParticipating in Agile ceremonies and delivering incremental software updatesCollaborating closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and solutionsEnsuring reliability, performance, and scalability across distributed servicesMinimum QualificationsClearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)Citizenship: Must be a U.S. CitizenEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, ORMaster’s degree and at least 10 years of relevant experienceRequired Background:Experience working with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, and CloudWatchRequired SkillsCandidates should possess experience in at least three of the following areas:Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python developmentMicroservices architecture design and implementationCI/CD tools and processes including AWS tooling, Maven, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, or AnsibleNoSQL database technologies such as MongoDB or DynamoDB, including query development and schema designOAuth or OIDC implementation experienceAutomated testing frameworks and tools such as Cypress or CucumberDesired SkillsExperience modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native architecturesStrong understanding of distributed systems and scalable service designFamiliarity with container orchestration and DevOps best practicesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced mission environmentTechnology StackThis role leverages Java Spring Boot microservices, Python automation, AWS cloud services including Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch, RESTful APIs, Maven build tools, GitLab and GitOps pipelines, container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, configuration tools like Ansible, and automated testing frameworks including Cypress and Cucumber.Compensation Range: $184,000.00 - $236,000.00 The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
