Driver

Position Summary: Modus is a Tulsa-based nonprofit organization that partners with other community organizations, healthcare providers, and employers to provide transportation to those in need. Drivers are responsible for providing timely, safe, and comfortable transportation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Providing safe, reliable transportation for Modus clients. - Maintain vehicle cleanliness while on shift. - Reporting any maintenance or repair needs as soon as they arise. - Tracking and reporting fuel usage. - Helping Modus Clients in and out of the vehicle as needed. - Navigating with GPS. - Communicating arrival times with Modus clients. - Reporting no show clients as needed.  Client Transportation Specialists are expected to provide a welcoming experience for all Modus clients with no exceptions.  EXPERIENCE WE LOVE: - Proven experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred. - Proven experience working in the non-profit sector is a plus.  SKILLS YOU'LL NEED: - Capability to provide a level of comfortable and inclusive service to all Modus clients. - Capability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. - Excellent organizational and time management skills.  - Intermediate administrative skills (record keeping, reporting)  - Capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.  - Proficient in learning and operating new technology.  - Capability to conduct oneself in a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations.  - Ability to work well with a diverse group of clients, staff and volunteers.  - Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job.  REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY: - High school diploma or GED equivalent. - Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. - Must have a clean driving record. - Must be at least 21 years old. - Must have proof of vehicle registration. - Must have proof of vehicle insurance. - Must have reliable transportation to and from the office.
