Job Description Overnight CounselorLogistics Of Position:Saturday and Sunday: 12 hours shifts 6:30pm-6:30amTwo 8 hour weekday shifts: 10:30pm-6:30amThis organization's mission provides children and families with various resources and care.Responsibilities of the Residential CounselorOversee physical care of residentsDevelopment of acceptable habits and attitudes for residentsManagement of resident behaviorAssist in meeting the goals and objectives of any resident service planResponsible for the coordinated supervision of the residentsContinuous awareness and ability to give a report of each residentMaintain structure and regulations at all timesCompletely and accurately document any required formsPerform waive testing on residents after home visits, runaways, and as needed with complete accuracy and complianceAttend all training mandated and continuously pursue training opportunities to meet standardsOther duties as assigned by the CEO, Director of Program Services, and Director of ResidentialAbility to work on the weekendsQualifications Of The Residential CounselorHigh School Diploma and six months experience working with childrenBachelor’s Degree in Human Services OR actively pursuing the degreeKnowledge and understanding of the organization’s mission and valuesAbility to support constructive resident-family visitation and resident involvement in community activitiesAbility to provide services in a culturally and linguistically competent mannerPossess the temperament to work with and care for children, and youth, some with special needs in multiple age rangesAbility to accurately collect, review, and analyze waive testing of residents after home visits, runaways, and as neededCompany DescriptionFast growing organization with a great team, culture and opportunity for career growth!Company DescriptionFast growing organization with a great team, culture and opportunity for career growth!
