Document Control Specialist II

Summary JOB DESCRIPTION The Document Control Specialist II maintains the administration and control in a centralized library of data and records, ensuring secure processes and appropriate access. Document control specialists store, manage, and track records and documents. This includes documentation that is received, created, or issued as part of a project or developed to support process definition. They also ensure that those documents are accurate and maintain their quality and integrity.Responsibilities Execute document control procedures, organize and maintain documents, and ensure documents are up to date and accurate Verify completeness and accuracy of documentation, as well as appropriate file formatting Respond to requests for documents and distribute them as needed Identify opportunities and identify solutions to improve document control processes to ensure consistent configuration and data management of documents Work with team members and supervisor to support the execution and alignment of the document control system to support business needs Convert selected hard copy files to electronic format Support administering information, retrieval and disbursement processes, observing all legal regulations regarding restricted information Ensure the organization follows document retention policies and retrieval of those documents upon requestExperience Minimum two (2) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline. OR (6) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree. OR No experience required in lieu of Masters Degree.Education Business (Bachelor's degree) or Business Operations (Bachelor's degree)Additional Information This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws.
