As our Health & Safety Manager, you'll be instrumental in maintaining our Safety 1st work environment to reduce accidents and damages, improve health and safety, achieve and maintain ISO certification, and pursue our sustainability goals.ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU'LL DOInspire change through communication at all impacted levelsDevelop, implement, monitor, and promote a comprehensive health & safety programEnsure compliance with internal and external regulated safety standardsIdentify and assist in controlling high risk activitiesInvestigate accidents or near misses to discover root causes and recommend/implement corrective actions Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors, business associates and employeesDevelop, motivate and train all levels of employees for their professional development and future growth QualificationsWHAT YOU'LL NEEDFive or more years managing health and safety in a similar multishift,or manufacturing environment Familiarity with common safety hazards in equipment or vehicle processing Knowledge of applicable best practices, industry standards, and legal/regulatory requirements EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVEExperience developing and implementing a safety cultureAbout YouYou're a passionate leader in Health & Safety, and an astute problem solverAbout UsWallenius Wilhelmsen is an iconic shipping and logistics company with premium end-to-end supply chain management.
