KECI is hiring a Newscast Director!KECI is looking for a creative, fast-thinking Weekend Newscast Director to lead live productions from the heart of our newsroom. If you thrive in the control room, love the pace of live television, and can turn fast-moving moments into clean, compelling storytelling, this is your role. This is a hands-on leadership position where you don't just call a show, you help shape it. From pacing and visuals to crew coordination and real-time decision-making, you'll play a key role in how our community experiences the news every weekend. You'll work alongside a dedicated team in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment where no two shows are the same, and every second matters.Responsibilities:Perform any production duties as assigned including:Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productionsTrain production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.Supervise production crew on a daily basisMaintain production studio and control roomPerform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contributionRequirements:Experience Directing and TDing newscasts a plusKnowledge of production standards and equipmentFull working knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteAbility to clearly give direction to crew while under pressureTyping and good spelling skills necessaryAbility to read and write, college degree preferredMust be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instrumentsEEO AND INCLUSIVITY:Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
