HERO Assemblers, LP Team MemberTeam Member Responsibilities:Support the production team in a fast paced "Just In Time" assembly environment.Must be able to work alternating shifts changing every two weeks between nights and days.Must be able to learn and implement the Toyota Production System in a tire and wheel assembly operation.Must have a positive "can do" attitude, exhibit a genuine "sense of urgency" including exemplary safety awareness.Must be able to read and follow detailed step by step work instructions.Must be able to meet or exceed daily HERO production and quality goals per requirements from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas truck assembly operations.Physical Job Requirements:8-10 hrs daily of continuous standing, reaching, bending, lifting and turning in order to load production conveyors with material or inspect finished assemblies.Must also be able to rotate job assignments every 2 hours to include: finished assembly inspection, tire unloading from a trailer, wheel loading onto a conveyor, and machine assisted wheel balance.Must be capable of repetitive lifting of up to 40 lbs during 2 hour intervalsMust be able to work with both hands equally well, reaching and grasping finished wheel assemblies.Demands - Never - Occasionally - Daily - FrequentlyWalking - xCrawling - xStooping - xBending - xStanding - xKneeling - xCrouching - xTalking - xHearing - xSmelling - xReaching - xHand Dexterity - xFinger Dexterity - xClimbing - xLifting Up to 40 lbs. - xVisual Abilities - Not Needed - Needed Occasionally - Needed Daily - Needed FrequentlyClose Vision - xDistance Vision - xColor Vision - xPeripheral - xDepth Perception - xAdditional Information Regarding Work Environment:Industrial high speed production operation enclosed within modern 50,000 sq ft facility as part of another main assembly operation. Area is heated and cooled, with adequate florescent overhead lighting and task lighting. Team members will be standing and walking continuously on concrete floors, while working with and around machinery used in high speed mounting of passenger truck tires onto rims. Noise levels are moderate, in the 70-80 decibels range. Hard hats, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes with ankle supports will be required. Caution areas include moving conveyors and belts, forklifts, and some overhead height restrictions. Also, the manual unloading of tires from trailers requires that the team member be capable of repetitive lifting of up to 40 lbs for two hours intervals.
