Contracts & Grants Analyst
Position InformationThe Contracts and Grants Analyst provides comprehensive pre- and post-award research administration support for the School of Medicine (SOM) Finance and Administration team. The incumbent assists faculty and departmental leadership with proposal development, budget preparation, award management, financial analysis, compliance monitoring, and post-award administration to support the successful management of sponsored research programs. This position helps ensure adherence to University, sponsor, and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality customer service and operational support to advance the research mission of the School of Medicine. There is one position available at various levels for the Contracts and Grants Analyst recruitments. The hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. This position is also posted as Senior Contracts & Grants Analyst (Job #37400613). However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $38.52 hourly. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. The Contracts and Grants Analyst will coordinate the submission of proposals to multiple agencies, including the development of multi-year budgets, where analysis of financial information requires review of a variety of factors (e.g. salaries, fringe benefits, expenses, etc.). Receives assignments on a project basis and fully analyzes problems, gathers data and information, and recommends solutions. Completes and approves transactions for signature by manager or other authorized institutional official. The Contracts and grants analyst will assist faculty in planning for the effective and appropriate use of all their funds; and ensure compliance with agency-specific terms and conditions, federal OMB circulars, and UC policy.
