Human Resources Generalist - 1st Shift
Job Title: HR GeneralistShift: 1st Shift (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) Position Summary:The HR Generalist - 1st Shift plays a key role in supporting daily human resources operations by fostering a safe, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. This role partners closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership to provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management while ensuring alignment with Schnellecke Logistics’ values and operational standards.This position supports a multi-shift logistics operation and serves as a liaison between local HR, corporate HR, payroll, and operations to ensure consistent communication, accurate data management, and timely resolution of employee matters.What you’ll do:Execute company values, policies, and HR standards to support a safe and compliant work environmentMaintain accurate and complete employee files, including personal data, compensation, benefits, payroll, tax records, attendance, performance evaluations, and termination documentationSupport onboarding processes and develop and deliver employee orientation programsEnsure new hires are assigned based on operational needs and properly equipped with the required information and safety equipmentProvide orientation training and ensure completion of induction and training recordsExplain employee benefit programs and serve as a liaison between employees and internal HR or benefit providersMaintain and manage employee data within HR systems, including updates to SKA 360 and biometric employee dataProcess employee status changes, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminationsCompile attendance data, monitor trends, and implement initiatives to improve attendance performanceProvide coaching and guidance to employees and leaders on HR policies, performance management, and workplace concernsAssist with disciplinary processes and ensure fair and consistent application of company policiesSupport employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiativesConduct employee satisfaction surveys and support initiatives to improve engagement and workplace cultureMaintain internal communications related to events, announcements, and organizational updatesServe as a liaison between HR, payroll, and operations to ensure alignment and timely issue resolutionPromote a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvementMaintain high standards of workplace organization and housekeeping within HR areasPromote and enforce safe work practices and always ensure compliance with all safety policiesEnsure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and ethical standardsMaintain strict confidentiality of employees and organizational informationPerform additional duties as assigned to support business needsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar roleWorking knowledge of employment law and HR complianceProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionDemonstrated ethical judgment and employee-focused mindsetAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentWork Environment:Work is performed in both office and warehouse or plant environmentsFrequent interaction with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teamsMay require schedule flexibility to support multiple shifts and operational demandsExposure to operational environments, including noise, equipment, and varying conditionsRequires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsWhy Join Schnellecke Logistics:Schnellecke Logistics is a global, family-owned logistics provider with more than 80 years of experience supporting automotive and industrial supply chains.
