Backend Developer
What you’ll be doing:In this role you will join the development team responsible for all of BrightSource’s software foundations.As part of the software foundations team, you will:·Participate in building and expanding the architecture for our cloud-based energy management OASES system, which manages and optimizes solar energy sites.·Design and develop services and infrastructure libraries that are the basis of OASES.·Design and develop systems that interact with a variety of energy equipment (PV inverters, Battery management systems, power meters etc.)·Evaluate, implement and integrate new technologies into our productsQualifications:·At least 2 years of C#/Java development experience·Developing for cloud-based systems, AWS is an advantage· A self-learner who is passionate about sharing knowledge and mentoring others·Ability to take ownership of complex systems·Proven ability of delivering software from design to productionAdvantages – experience in:·Working with big data·Working with communication protocols·Scripting languages (especially Python)·Frontend development
