This is an opportunity for someone who is ready to bring their expertise, problem-solving skills, and energy to help us engineer what’s next—one building at a time.Job OverviewThe Doors Technician is responsible for the installation, service, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial pedestrian doors, automatic entrances, and related hardware. This role exists to ensure entrances operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable standards while providing excellent service to customers.What We Have To OfferEmployee-owned company with opportunities to build your career and invest in your future. Trade school or relevant trade experience is necessary. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, and installation specifications. Enjoy working with customers and communicating clearly and professionally to provide great service. Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.As a Service Technician, You WillInstall, service, repair, and maintain commercial pedestrian doors, automatic doors, frames, and hardware Perform planned and preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation. Conduct routine safety inspections and confirm compliance with national safety standards. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform adjustments, repairs, or replacements as needed. Read and interpret door schedules, installation instructions, and diagrams. Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely and effectively. Follow all safety procedures, job site rules, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school degree or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.Ability to travel between job sites, with some overnights and on-call some weekends.Pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.Valid driver’s license.Physical RequirementsAbility to travel between job sites, including occasional overnight travel and on-call weekend work. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull doors, frames, glass, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds (with assistance as required). Regularly bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead during installation and service activities. Climb ladders, stairs, lifts, and scaffolding to install or service doors and hardware. Stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the workday. Perform repetitive motions and sustain physical effort using hand and power tools. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely work at heights and around moving mechanical components.
