Yard Mule-Outbound

SummaryYard Mule Operator will assist operations in an active drop and hook yard and container loading operation; driving and monitoring container yard entries possibly using a handheld computer or tablet OR will handle pallets from production lines using Automatic Trailers. You will drive diesel powered tractor-trailer combinations to deliver/move products/materials around the facility to designated areas; maintain fuel/oil levels in the equipment as required. All tasks must be performed safely, efficiently and accurately.Job TasksOperate Yard Mules, moving containers between trailer yard and loading docks and logging all container moves to maintain accurate yard inventory OR handling Automatic trailers from the production lines. Perform all functions in accordance with operation and safety guidelinesMaintain communication with dispatch operations utilizing a two-way radioMaintain a clean work area, free of debris or safety hazards and awareness of surroundings (i.e. vehicles, people, equipment, etc.) alwaysInstall container chassis supports where requiredMonitor and report operational activitiesA periodic check of Truck as per the checklist provided.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
