Overnight Respite Direct Support Professional (DSP) Location: Manchester, NJ Schedule: Overnight Shift – 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time Available Join the AmeriWell Care Team! AmeriWell Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide overnight in-home respite services for an adult individual with developmental disabilities in Manchester, New Jersey. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while providing peace of mind to families and caregivers. Responsibilities: Provide overnight supervision and support in the individual's home Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individual throughout the shift Assist with personal care as needed Monitor for behavioral or medical concerns and follow established support plans Complete required documentation and progress notes accurately and timely Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment Communicate effectively with family members, agency staff, and support team members Follow all agency policies, NJ DDD regulations, Danielle's Law, and incident reporting requirements Qualifications: Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred Experience working with individuals who have behavioral support needs is highly desirable High School Diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the overnight s Preferred Experience: DDD-funded services Respite Services Individual Supports Behavioral Supports Autism Spectrum Disorders Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Benefits: Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling opportunities Supportive and responsive management team Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life Ongoing training and professional development Apply Today Join AmeriWell Care and become part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered care throughout New Jersey.
