System Integration & Test Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)📍 Chelmsford, MA⏳ Duration: 12 Months (Potential Contract-to-Hire)We are seeking a System Integration & Test Engineer to support the integration, verification, and validation of complex systems involving both in-house and COTS/GOTS components. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment and has strong experience in test development and system-level validation.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, test, document, and maintain system integration and test solutions.Translate customer and contractual requirements into effective system-level test strategies, balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Define functional and technical specifications, including I/O parameters and interface requirements.Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for systems and subsystems.Coordinate integration and testing activities across cross-functional teams and programs.Analyze test results and prepare detailed validation and verification reports.Generate discrepancy reports and perform regression testing to validate fixes.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and planning.5+ years of experience with LabVIEW for software development and support.3+ years of experience with NI TestStand.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications9+ years of relevant professional experience.Experience measuring electrical parameters for components and subassemblies.Strong background in RF/Microwave systems and subsystems.Expertise in developing complex test programs using TestStand.Experience designing and specifying test equipment and components.Strong troubleshooting skills across instrumentation, fixturing, software, and units under test.Ability to create engineering documentation including block diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists.Experience with corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA).Ability to derive test requirements from system/design-level requirements.Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Experience presenting technical findings, trade studies, and solutions.
