As part of an itinerant team, you'll gain exposure to a range of educational settings, focusing on K-12 populations and delivering impactful care where it's needed most.Required Skills & Qualifications:Current Occupational Therapist license valid in CaliforniaSchool-based OT experience preferred, with a strong understanding of pediatric and educational therapy approachesFlexibility and organization to manage a caseload spread across multiple campuses within a geographic areaAbility to adapt therapeutic techniques for varying ages and learning abilities, from elementary through high schoolComfortable providing services on-site exclusively—virtual options are not available for this assignmentEffective communication, collaboration, and documentation skillsPrimary Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students identified with needsDevelop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and familiesTravel between assigned school sites to deliver services, consultations, and staff trainingMaintain ongoing records of student progress and required documentation in compliance with school and district policiesEngage in IEP meetings, offer recommendations, and play a key role in supporting students’ academic participation and functional independenceExperience the vibrancy of San Francisco while positively influencing the educational journey of students!
