Software Engineer

Position: Software EngineerAs a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and optimize software applications that support advanced defense platforms. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components.Develop high-performance, real-time software using C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.Build and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Podman.Develop and analyze network protocols and distributed software systems.Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for operational defense systems.Collaborate with customers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Strong programming experience with C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, or other object-oriented languages.Experience with software development in Linux environments.Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred SkillsActive Secret Security Clearance.Experience with Docker, Podman, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, VS Code.Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, REST APIs, DDS, and IDL.Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and secure coding practices.Familiarity with IBCS, THAAD, CAML, or other air and missile defense systems.Experience developing real-time or embedded software applications.
