CNC Setup OperatorPay Rate: $25 - $28/hr DOESchedule: 5am to 4:30pm, M-F, Some Saturdays as required,OT: Averages 10+ hrs/weekLocation: Spring, TX 77388Overview:Responsible for preparing and setting up CNC machines, such as CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components according to detailed specifications. CNC Programing is not required. Verifies that CNC machines are properly setup for the production of API threads. Perform design validation inspections on thread elements to verify complianceDuties and Responsibilities:Read blueprint, job order & tooling instructions for production requirementsSetup CNC/Threading machine for productionMachine parts to required specificationsAbility to perform threading of coupling material to specified requirementsSuggest machining methods to improve job efficiencyVisibly inspect and monitor carbide insertsReplace worn tooling as neededMust be able to understand various Quality plansInspect machined parts to verify conformance to specificationsAbility to perform measurement & visual inspection of threadsFollow 1st piece inspection procedureFollow established safety proceduresKeep work area clean & safeOther duties as required by management Knowledge of inspection equipmentRequirements:Proven experience operating and setting up CNC machinery in a manufacturing environmentProficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings and mechanical drawingsAt least 3 years CNC machine experienceExperience machining API threadsAbility to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines.Ability to perform first article inspection according to required specificationsAbility to setup and monitor multiple CNC machinesAbility to work OT on regular basis
