Human Resources Manager

Our direct client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support its New York-based business services population in a highly visible, hands-on role. Partnering closely with directors, managers, and staff, this individual will serve as a trusted HR advisor across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation support, training and development, HR policy administration, and HRIS initiatives. Responsibilities include managing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, advising on employee relations and performance matters, coaching managers, supporting annual reviews and compensation processes, coordinating training initiatives, assisting with HRIS enhancements, and ensuring compliance with firm policies, employment laws, and information security protocols.Qualifications include: • 5–8+ years of broad HR experience, preferably within a professional services or legal environment • Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and compensation support • Strong knowledge of New York City and New York State employment law • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday or PeopleSoft • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze data • Ability to manage competing priorities independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion • High level of professionalism and ability to thrive in a collegial, fast-paced environment • Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification is a plus
